My mission is to inspire clients to grow personally and emotionally. Everyone has the right to be happy. Addressing your concerns through therapy can help. At Preston Counseling, I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between the individuals and the therapist. Change is possible with understanding and empathy, and the right tools.
When a client is an active participant in his or her treatment, and is committed to applying the knowledge gained through their therapy session to life, positive and powerful changes can happen.During individual sessions, our focus is on supporting you while you discover a better place, whether that's the other side of depression or freedom from a past trauma.
Helping families create healthier dynamics strengthens your relationships today and builds a positive foundation for the future. In our judgment-free environment, you'll find a skilled, compassionate therapist who will partner with you on the journey to a more fulfilling life. Breaking free from an addiction begins with therapy that not only addresses the dependence, but digs down to the "why" so you can understand and, more importantly, overcome.

It is better to face our problems then run and hide from them.
People often try to distract from their issues with alcohol, drugs, avoidance, overextending, distractions, and other maladaptive coping strategies.
Sometimes initially people feel a little worse before they get better.

But it is well worth it!
This is sometimes because some people have defended against negative feelings by denying, compartmentalizing, distracting, and avoiding looking at themselves clearly.
