Currence Consulting is a psychological practice built on the principles of holistic self care, which promotes the healthy integration of your mind, body, and spirit. We believe that balance and harmony are achieved by better understanding one's self and using that knowledge to lead a more fulfilling life. Anxiety, depression, exhaustion, and a myriad of other symptoms often result from a lack of congruence in the way we think (our cognition), the way we feel (our affect), and the way that we behave.

Our therapists are experienced in guiding you on your personal journey to a better life. Your therapist is waiting to partner with you as you move in the direction of becoming your best self. Currence Consulting offers a broad range of counseling and consultation services. We provide psychotherapy, for dealing with a variety of issues, to individuals, groups, couples, and families.

We also offer psycho-educational seminars on topics such as depression, the effect of burnout and exhaustion, and stress management.
Services
Currence Consulting is a psychology-based group private practice that has been in existence since 2010.
It started as a solo practice but transitioned to a group practice in 2014.
By adding additional clinicians the practice was able to greatly expand the number of clients served, demographics reached, and specialty areas treated.
We currently work with clients as early as age 4, and continue to focus on changing lives, one mind at a time.
Every morning we wake up with a new opportunity to be our best self.
A chance to take the best of who we are and utilize those skills and talents to explore, to challenge, and to grow.
In me, you will find a partner willing to collaborate with you to do the necessary work to evoke change in whatever spheres of life you have identified as needing attention.
Through introspection, self-awareness, and acceptance we will collectively engage in the therapeutic journey that will help you gain clarity, reach higher heights, and live well.
If we are honest, we all could use a little help from time to time.
Recognizing that reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness but a testament of strength is an important realization that we help clients own immediately.
Engaging in therapy is no different than calling the fire department if something was on fire or reaching out to a wedding consultant to help with the overwhelming planning required to pull off your big day.
It is your commitment to using an expert to help you put out fires, bring organization to what feels chaotic, and bring healing to what feels broken.
When someone mentions trauma, people quickly think of responses to war or sexual abuse.
And while those are absolutely examples of traumatic experiences, some might be surprised to find that individuals can have a traumatic response to work environments, verbal abuse, and social injustice.
There are many triggering events that result in a traumatic experience, and our goal is to be able to walk with you through the difficult journey of dealing with your trauma.
It is incredible to watch a client identify and utilize strengths that they didn't even know they possessed.
Holistic self-care lends itself to the idea that there are interconnected parts of our being that work in tandem.
While mental health practitioners often speak to the connection of mind and body, we believe that a third component is equally important, spirit.
There is a connection between our mind, body, and spirit (sometimes referred to as soul) that helps to make up who we are, how we think, and how we move through the world.
In order to provide holistic self-care that would mean for many, not necessarily all, that the component of "spirit" would need to be explored, cultivated, and in some cases healed in order for someone to feel healthy and whole.
