Omaha Counseling
Everyone faces challenges. We all occasionally feel stuck, not heard, or lost. Omaha Counseling provides a safe, confidential environment where you can be heard, understood, and learn to navigate the waters of change. Learning how to explore and address your challenges is a simple concept, but not necessarily an easy endeavor. Through collaborative exploration, we will discover what happiness looks like for you and how you can fully embrace it.

Please call 402.881.8125 to set up an appointment. In addition to all the licensure and my counseling background, I have personally experienced and successfully navigated challenges that have included moving from England, a mid-life career change, infertility, childhood issues, and marriage hurdles. I understand and embrace the value of counseling as a tool to help you identify and address the core issues, so that you can focus on living your ideal life.

I moved to the USA to join my husband in 1999. In my early 40s, I changed my career path from that of a certified accountant to embrace my dream and purpose of becoming a counselor.
Services
I am a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), and Professional Counselor (PC) with 10+ years of experience providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families.
After graduating from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010 with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education (with an emphasis in couples and family therapy), I worked in outpatient settings, hospice care, and for Lutheran Family Services before launching my private practice in 2014 in Omaha.
Sometimes, we just need someone to listen to our story so we are not bound by our negative experiences and emotions.
Counseling provides a safe outlet to explore, learn, challenge, and grow as individuals and/or as a couple.
My approach to individual counseling involves exploring the past and how that impacts the present and the future.
By working together through past issues or traumas, clients are better equipped to live fully in the present and to prepare for their future.
My approach to couples counseling involves guiding couples in reconnecting, learning how to overcome conflict, dealing with life's many transitions, identifying their shared goals, and/or letting go of the past.
With my experience of changing careers late in life, being a business owner, a spouse to an Entrepreneur, and creating my own Best Life with intention, we may be an ideal fit.
Together, we will identify what success looks like and will generate a path to achieve these dreams, ultimately resulting in your success.
Our opportunities have never been as great as they are today.
To some, this may sound scary and overwhelming, thus creating a mindset that bogs them down.
You may feel like life is going okay or you may feel stuck; whatever the case, it is important to have a trusted, confidential, and experienced sounding board to help you identify where you want to go, how you will get there, and how to navigate the waters to success.
If because of an empty nest, career change, business sale, medical scare, relationship transition, or any number of life-changing events, you find yourself asking, "What's Next?," these retreats may be for you.
We have found that many couples are craving a process to help them reconnect, refocus, and create a plan to achieve these dreams, not only identifying what the next chapter in life will look like, but to dream big, thrive, and embrace the life they know they can have.
These results are achieved through open, honest, and candid group coaching, and individual facilitation.
I offer individual and couples therapy with persons over the age of 18. Individual counseling usually entails someone wanting to change their behaviors, emotions, or thoughts.
Couples therapy involves two people who want to work on improving their relationship by learning and utilizing various communication methods and listening skills.
I also offer coaching to individuals and couples in order to address opportunities and their fears of the present, as well as the direction for their future.
As my specialty has continued evolving, so has my practice.
