The mission of The Vine Pastoral Counseling Center is to provide services for individuals, couples, families and congregations that will facilitate healing and wholeness in human life and relationships. Services will be provided to any person regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status or faith perspective. Our vision is that to make needed help available and not to have that dependent on ability to pay.
We are able to do this with the contributions of 23 area churches, countless individuals and several companies in town. The Vine began as a seed of an idea shared by many members of The Huntsville Association of Pastoral Care. The need for a faith-based counseling center emerged from discussions among several area clergy clusters the most active of which were located in Madison.
The Vine opened for the first day of business with Amanda W. Ragland and Jim Norris serving as Codirectors with 10 supporting churches. Jack Ragland joined the staff 2 years later. The first year The Vine provided 1,217 sessions and 148 of these were Scholarship Assisted Sessions representing $3,436 of support.

What to expect: Our in-person portion is going to be beautiful if the weather holds!
We will have many tables out along the terraces at Baron Bluff that lead down to the Gazebo, all the way from The View over to the beloved mansion.
We will also have tables out on The View that overlooks the city!
