Bridgehaven Counseling Associates exists to provide excellent, Christ-centered counseling to individuals, couples, and families in the Raleigh-Durham area. We want to be a trusted referral source for pastors, Christian professionals, and lay people. In addition to this, we want to provide resources that will increase the church's ability to care for one another and the community.
Our goal in counseling is to see God glorified as we walk with people through life's struggles and see them restored to all that God intended them to be. To accomplish this we bring to bear an awareness of the unique dynamics of counselees struggle with timeless wisdom of Scripture and the powerful hope of the gospel.

Bridgehaven Counseling Associates exists to provide excellent, Christ-centered counseling to individuals, couples, and families in the Raleigh-Durham area.
Bridgehaven began out of the conviction that there needs to be a gospel-centered counseling center that is designed and equipped to work with local churches in the care of people.
One of the greatest weaknesses of the counseling field is its inability to provide an adequate breadth of care, beyond formal one-on-one meetings.
One of the greatest strengths of the local church is its community life (Gal 6:1-2).

Bridgehaven is a parachurch counseling practice started by The Summit Church in 2012 for the purpose of providing gospel-centered, clinically-informed biblical counseling to individuals, couples, and families, both locally and globally.
While Bridgehaven was started by The Summit Church, we operate as an autonomous, non-profit 501c3 parachurch ministry, separate from The Summit Church.
All of the counselors and staff who serve with Bridgehaven are evangelical Christians, all are active church-members in a variety of churches, and all hold to a philosophy of counseling that is consistent with Bridgehaven's statement of faith (taken from the Biblical Counseling Coalition).

As such, we are unable to begin the intake process for any adult at anyone's request but their own.
If you are seeking services for yourself which will also include any other adult, before requesting counseling services, please inform them you are requesting they join you in the counseling process, and please inform them that they will be contacted by Bridgehaven Counseling and Associates to ensure they consent to receiving intake documentation as a part of the intake process.
