Please note: I am currently only offering psychotherapy by video (teletherapy), which is appropriate for the treatment of certain conditions only. Please contact me for further information. Life at times can be hard. We may struggle with feelings of sadness, low self-worth and depression. We may be plagued with worries about other people, about ourselves, our relationships or our work.

We may feel stuck in patterns that we seem unable to change, no matter how hard we want to. These patterns may be in our emotions, our behaviors, our thoughts, or in how we interact with other people. Sometimes life seems "OK" but we may feel that there is something missing, some passion, energy, joy or happiness. Counseling can help with such concerns.

You don't have to struggle alone. Together we can help you change old patterns, deal with current concerns and gain access to your innate healing, wisdom and truth so that you can thrive and live a fuller life. We all go through change as part of growing and living and experience many emotions during a life transition.
Services
We go through many emotions during a life transition.
Some of the feelings may be joy, anticipation, excitement, disappointment, anger, sadness or grief.
Often we will experience a mixture of positive and negative feelings.
Sometimes we remember more vivid dreams during transition times.
Our emotions are like waves in the ocean, they can come upon us gradually or suddenly; they peak and decrease and retreat.
More waves follow.
For many of us, we can experience the waves with the support of friend, family, or even a counselor.
Where we we grow up and live shapes our understanding of what is "normal:" our view of ourselves, of others, of relationships and of how the world works.
We develop our world view from what we experience in our family, our group, our culture and our country.
We take these experiences all for granted and assume is that this is the norm.
When we move to a new place, such as different region, country or culture, we will have new experiences.
Some of these encounters will challenge much of what we take for granted.
Are you Asian American and wondering whether counseling might be helpful to you? Are you dealing with stress, feeling stuck, or are full or worries and sadness?
Or perhaps you are doing very well professionally or academically, but are not satisfied with your social life, close friends, family or romantic partners?
You might consider counseling that is sensitive to Asian American culture.
Seeking help for emotional difficulties is very difficult in Asian and Asian American cultures.
We may have grown up with the message that to have negative emotions is something to be ashamed of.
Are your spirituality and religious beliefs very important to you? Are you dealing with stress, depression, or relationships, and are looking for counseling that respects your beliefs and values your spiritual practices?
You don't have to struggle alone.
I offer counseling and psychotherapy integrated with spirituality to help you to improve problem areas in your life, such as stress, depression or difficulties in your relationships.
Spirituality is a very important aspect of who we are.
It is very important to our well-being, including our psychological and emotional wholeness.
Most people suffer and experience emotional difficulties at some point in their lives.
These problems may show up in a variety of ways: feeling sad, empty, angry, or anxious; trouble in relationships; problems at work; physical symptoms; trouble concentrating; difficulties with coming to terms with a loss such as loss of a job, divorce, bereavement, or being stuck in patterns that we cannot break out of.
Often we get help and support from family, close friends, our community (colleagues, church, synagogue, other groups) and we move on.
