This group is for internal clients and court-ordered clients that seek treatment for their chemical dependency problem.
We offer individual psychotherapy to those who may present some symptoms of disordered eating and want to work towards building a better relationship with their body and food.
Intensive outpatient services are typically provided to people who present to treatment with an eating disorder, and may need additional help which include psychotherapy, nutritional counseling, and holistic services.
These services can be provided individually, or affordable group therapy.
Partial Hospitalization is provided for individuals who have moderate to severe eating disorder diagnosis.
Alfredo Hernandez was born in Cuba, raised in Puerto Rico, lived in Venezuela and graduated from the State of Florida.
He is a mental health counselor psychotherapist.
Passionate about motorcycles and martial arts, he specializes in adult and adolescent mental health, substance abuse and other addictions such as gambling, internet, sex, pornography.
With a personal history as a heroin addict many years ago, which led him to lose everything and who was able to successfully overcome his addiction, he now dedicates his life to helping those who go through the hard road of mental health problems and addictions in your community center.
Sarah Maria Filgueiras (she/they) is also known as "Figs" to her colleagues, is a Miami-born-and-raised Psychotherapist.
Before joining the Improving Lives team, Figs worked closely with children, teens, young adults, and their families in individual and group settings.
Figs' experience specialized her in working with clients who are in their transitioning and self-discovering years.
Figs enjoys working with clients exploring and understanding their sexuality, gender, ethnic and racial identity, and working towards self-love.
