Seeking counseling takes courage. But it can be a remarkable journey towards a new life. My goal as a counselor is to compassionately help my clients develop insight, courage, acceptance, resiliency, and the ability to live the joyful, meaningful life that they seek. In my counseling practice, I use an integrative approach, often with a mindfulness-based focus.
Mindfulness is an "awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally." It has helped many of my clients through the difficulties that life often presents. I use other approaches as well, depending on what my clients' needs are, and what is most naturally comfortable for them. Primarily I work with adults in individual and couples therapy.
In every situation, I work respectfully with clients regardless of their beliefs, origin, or self-definition. Relationship issues (marriage, separation, divorce, work, family, friends, siblings, etc.). I also welcome addressing each client's relationship to spirituality, as well as any existential concerns if that is their wish.

The very foundation of therapy is the therapeutic relationship that is established between a client and a therapist.
In our meetings together, I will always strive to create an environment where there is trust, support, acceptance, and safety - for you to freely talk about yourself, your life challenges, as well as your hopes and dreams.
As trust grows, you may find that you increasingly use this therapeutic relationship as a workspace to resolve problems in your life.
It is often the process of your self-revealing and trust-building that can lead to healing.
