The information provided will give you insight regarding the services I offer as a clinical psychologist. My name is Dianne Rosen, Ph. D. ABPP and I am a licensed psychologist in private practice in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I am Board Certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. I have been counseling patients in the South Florida area for over twenty years.
I provide psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children, couples and families. Additionally, I conduct psycho-educational evaluations for patients presenting with learning and attention difficulties. My background is fairly broad, encompassing work in disabled student services, school psychology, foster care, developmental disabilities, sexual abuse, and eating disorders.
In addition to private practice, I am the Training Director of an APA accredited pre-doctoral psychology internship program at a community mental health center. Currently, I have a private practice in the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area. Deciding to begin therapy and then finding a therapist is not an easy task, so feel free to contact me by phone or email with any questions you have.

Services
I have a general practice and work with all ages on a variety of problems ranging from coping with life's stressors to chronic mental illnesses.
My theoretical orientation draws on a number of treatment modalities based on the individual needs of clients.
I frequently use cognitive behavioral therapy which is based on the premise that the way we feel and act is influenced by how we think about our world and how we interpret the events around us.
The path of self-discovery does not have to be unpleasant.

Q: How long are all subsequent sessions?
A: Each following session is 45-50 minutes long.
Most patients attend sessions on a weekly basis, but others opt to attend sessions twice a month.
Q: How long will I need to be in therapy?
A: The length of your treatment depends on the issues that you need to address.
After our first meeting, I will assess and offer a suggested length for your therapy.
It is worth noting that some patients report feeling better after a few sessions.
As you make progress, you and I can discuss the option of maintenance sessions.

I conduct extensive assessment batteries to identify specific learning disabilities, attention deficits, and emotional/behavioral disabilities in children, adolescents and adults.
Testing has been a major part of my practice and I work closely with local public and private schools to provide students with services that meet their educational and psychological needs.
Identifying the underlying cause of academic failure opens the door to effective management of problems related to learning, attention and emotional/behavioral disorders.
