I earned my Masters in Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University, specializing with ages K-12th grade.

After completing two counseling internships in local schools, and having counseled individual adolescents and young adults through my practice; I have dealt with a lot of problems our youth face everyday.
Being a kid can be hard.
Dealing with fitting in, friendships, bullying, a parents divorce, or simply not being listened to are all issues kids face today.
We can tackle these problems together.
The teen years are definitely challenging.

I provide an eclectic approach to counseling with an emphasis on Solution-Focused Therapy.
During our first session there will be minimal paperwork to complete.
I will spend some time discussing privacy requirements on my part as your therapist, the state statues governing where privacy cannot be maintained, and any questions or concerns you might have regarding the therapeutic process.
We then spend a little time getting to know each other, at which point we begin to discuss your issues and goals for seeking counseling.
