Jeffrey Frank, LCSW
If you are feeling held back in your relationships, in the workplace or struggling with anxiety, depression or addiction, I can help you navigate a path to emotional well being. While the course of treatment depends on many variables, I am committed to working with care, efficiency and an intensity that can help reduce or alleviate your symptoms in as short a time as possible.

Psychotherapist, Jeffrey Frank, LCSW is certified in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (IS-TDP) and offers treatment for addiction, anxiety, couples in conflict, depression, life transitions, LGBTQIA issues, loss and grief, self-esteem, substance abuse and trauma. He also works from a mind/body perspective to treat conditions such as chronic pain, gastrointestinal disorders, migraines and skin conditions.

While I can't predict how you'll respond to therapy, I can promise two outcomes from the initial session: one, you will learn something about yourself that you hadn't previously realized, and two, it will be clear whether or not I am the right therapist for you.
Services
Accepting patients in Florida, District of Columbia and many US states and internationally.
I offer my services remotely through video conferencing, also referred to as telemedicine, teletherapy or telehealth.
Except for Medicare, my practice is not contracted with any other insurance companies.
Therefore, I am considered an "out-of-network" provider.
Your plan may include "out-of-network" benefits that partially reimburse you for the cost of my services.
I suggest contacting your insurer to confirm your benefits.
Self destructiveness, difficulty making decisions, feelings of shame, sadness, self-criticism, insecurity, struggling in relationships, hopelessness, perfectionism, as well as ruminating about the past and obsessing about the future, are common reasons people seek help.
Instead of accepting status quo, this approach offers an effective way of acquiring an honest view of yourself and a means to develop healthier ways to relate to yourself and others.
Taking this step to address your emotional difficulties can be daunting.
If your partnership is challenged in any of these areas, you have good reason to seek help.
In the day to day, it may feel easier to not rock the boat.
But why resign yourself to merely bearing out your relationship?
Nothing from a manual or scripted in my approach to couples counseling.
I am guided by your specific challenges and by who you are as individuals.
I encourage you to consider taking this step for the sake of your current or future relationships.
Originally, from the New York area, I received my graduate degree and postgraduate training in Washington, DC.
After ten years in private practice there, I relocated to Sarasota, Florida in 2016.
Through video conferencing, I am able to offer my services to patients in most US states and internationally.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy-Level Frontiers in Experiential Dynamic Therapy Play with Me: The Role of Improvisation in Personal Growth, Relationships and Therapy Qualified Supervision Training, Florida Mental Health Licensure Services, Inc.
Studying various methods for treating mental health conditions, I searched for what would deliver the most effective and most immediate results.
Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (IS-TDP) turned out to be superior to any other methods I found.
This model requires the therapist to be both emotionally responsive and acutely analytical in order to help patients move from suffering to healing.
I am grateful to have received rigorous training in this model from two gifted therapists, Dr. Patricia Coughlin and Jon Frederickson, MSW as well as the ongoing support of the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association.
