Dr. Argumosa earned her Bachelor's in Psychology in 2001, Master's in Developmental Psychology in 2008 and Ph. D. in Developmental Psychology in 2010 all at Florida International University. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, she conducted research on infant and early childhood sensory perception and autism. She specializes in infant mental health, disorders of early childhood, trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder and family systems.

Dr. Argumosa has worked in non-profit organizations providing therapy to families involved with the Department of Children and Families, children who have experienced trauma, children who struggle with anxiety, depression, or attention-deficit disorder, and families seeking support with parenting. Dr. Argumosa is trained as an infant mental health specialist and has extensive knowledge of attachment, parent-child relationships, and family systems.

She has managed several parenting support programs for families with preschool-aged children. Dr. Argumosa has provided training for early childhood providers and parents on a variety of topics including infant mental health, discipline, developmental disabilities, managing behavior in the classroom, and self care.
Services
Play is how children communicate and process stress and trauma.
Play therapy allows young children a safe space to express their feelings, fears, and needs through symbolic experiential interactions without judgment or redirection.
This treatment provides an opportunity to observe and assess parent/caregiver-child relationship.
Dyadic therapy addresses specific needs within a relationship that can be managed in the moment.
Support is provided to parent/caregiver in order to better understand the needs of the child and strengthen the attachment, bonding and social-emotional connection within the relationship.
