Not at all.
People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out.
Everyone needs help now and then.
In our work together, I'll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing.
The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally.
A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way- teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself.
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part.
Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand.
Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy or CBT is active, structured, goal oriented, and time-limited.
CBT relies on collaborative empiricism which involves developing a collaborative therapist-client relationship.
CBT is grounded in the belief that it is a person's perception of events - rather than the events themselves - that determines how he or she will feel and act in response.
Most people with clearly defined behavioral and emotional concerns tend to reap the benefits of CBT.
If any of the above issues resonate with you, I encourage you to try cognitive behavioral therapy.
Is anxiety taking over your life?
Does it feel like you can't control it no matter how hard you try? Have you already tried therapy but found it ineffective?
If this sounds like you, I'm confident I can help.
My practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get the relief from anxiety that you deserve.
When it comes to treating anxiety disorders, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option.
That's because anxiety therapy - as opposed to anxiety medication - treats more than just symptoms to the problem.
