Services
I want to help people become an agent of change in their own life, feel safe and validated, and be the best version of themselves that they can be.
I use inclusive, person-centered talk therapy to counsel and get to the root of the issues in your life; finding problematic patterns that are causing stress, anxiety, and feelings of being overwhelmed.
I have worked in a variety of settings in the Temecula Valley for 10 years and have experience being a counselor for children on the Autism Spectrum, Substance Abuse, School Therapy, Marital Therapy, LGBTQ and Secular Therapy, Integrated Mental Health and counseling services, and now Online Therapy & Telehealth.
Secular Therapy is talk therapy that does not include religious interventions or affirmations.
Secular Therapy is ideal for non-religious individuals, individuals who want to process religion-based trauma, individuals who have already obtained religious counsel and would like supplemental counseling, or individuals who wish to keep religion and therapy separate.
Secular therapy is client-led and works within a client's personal values using evidence based practices.
Many therapists advertise as counselors with a reference to their religious beliefs, and are trained by religious colleges to incorporate these beliefs.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (or CBT) is a short-term, goal oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.
The goal of CBT is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are ultimately responsible for a person's difficulties, and in doing so change the way they feel for the better.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you learn to change your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by targeting your reactions to challenging situations; so that you may react more effectively.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (or DBT) provides clients with new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships.
DBT was initially developed to treat suicidal individuals and those with Borderline Personality Disorder, however it has since shown to be an effective treatment for a wide variety of other disorders such as addiction, depression, PTSD, and eating disorders.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy involves the therapist working together with the client to set specific goals that are personally meaningful to the client, while working on ways to remove harmful behaviors and replace them with more effective and life-enhancing behaviors.
We provide counseling and therapy for families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development.
Family Systems Therapy helps individuals resolve their problems in the context of their family units.
Family and/or relationship issues are often the root of many psychological problems, even if these problems do not surface until much later on.
Family Systems Therapy helps to address these issues, both individually and within the overall family (or couples) dynamic.
This process has shown to be an effective way to help family members better control and cope with physical disabilities or disorders, as well as mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and eating disorders.
