Therapy sessions are tailored to fit the client's individual needs. Helping you understand and manage your emotions and behaviors is my primary focus. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia (LPC005623) and a Certified School Counselor (P-12).
I received a Master's in Education and a Specialist in Education from Georgia State University. I received a BA in Psychology from The University of Michigan (Go Blue!) in 2000. I have been counseling since 2004, initially as a middle school counselor and later honing my skills in a variety of settings including PHP programs, counseling agencies, and hospitals before opening the doors to my private practice in 2012.
I continue to attend conferences to learn more skills and techniques for topics that I am personally passionate. I completed anger management certification in 2014 (CAMS-II).

What is Anxiety?
Have you ever experienced stress, panic attacks, worried thoughts, fears, and/or rituals that affect your daily life?
That is anxiety.
Anxiety can be good.
It gives our minds and bodies clues that we need to protect ourselves, either by leaving a bad situation or by motivating ourselves into positive action.
This is called the Fight or Flight Response.
Anxiety can be problematic as well.
When you feel anxious and do not know how to manage or handle the anxiety, this is a bad thing.

Cancellation: Cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance to avoid the "late cancellation" fee ($125).
Fee will be automatically billed to your credit card on file.
Missed Appointment: If you are unable to attend your scheduled session, and you do not cancel in a timely manner, you will be automatically billed the full session price plus the credit card transaction fee ($125).
Payments: I accept cash, check, or card (credit, debit, HSA).
