Changing Lives Counseling is owned and operated by Denis and Shannon Winters. Shannon began her career in the medical field as a medical assistant in an Obstetrics and Gynecology office while earning her Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and Management. She continued on to earn a Master's Degree in Christian and Pastoral counseling to focus on Marriage and Family therapy and then went back to get a second Master's in Substance Use and Addiction.
She has recently completed her PhD courses in Psychology and is completing her dissertation. Shannon is a faith based counselor and clergy in our independently owned business. She is in good standing with several associations including National Christian Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, American Counseling Association, and National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
Shannon deals primarily with marriage and family, blended family, depression/anxiety with adults and teens. Denis Winters fills the role of Office Manager doing all the administrative work including scheduling and accounting.
