Together, we navigate their emotional roadblocks - anger, anxiety, depression, pain, shame - to help them move toward a life of greater satisfaction.

Most clients find this challenging work, but emerge with a better sense of what they want, and the resources to enjoy life more fully. Our collaboration, communication, and compassion has served our clients well since we began counseling in 1995. Services
Lucy K. Ziegler earned her Master's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
She is licensed by the State of Texas as a Professional Counselor and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
Additionally, Lucy is a Qualified Teacher in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from the Center for Mindfulness founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts (UMASS) Medical School.
As a member of the National Honor Society for Psychology, she has served on the faculties of Del Mar College and Our Lady of the Lake University where she taught psychology, counseling, stress management, and life span development.
Lucy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Qualified MBSR Teacher, who has been counseling in Private Practice for over 20 years specializing in trauma, with offices in Boerne and San Antonio.
She and her clients work together to develop Coping Skills to help them adapt to change.
Lucy works with individuals, couples and groups.
Her clients benefit from building a confidential and trusting relationship in which they can identify and explore feelings and experiences that, even if they happened in childhood, continue to influence emotions and behaviors today.

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program was founded by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 and the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
He describes Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) as a well-defined, systematic, patient-centered approach to teach people how to take better care of themselves and live healthier and more adaptive lives.

Develop life-long tools that will help you maximize your life, even when facing stress, illness and pain.
Throughout the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program you will be consciously and systematically working with the challenges and demands of your everyday life.
Systematic instruction in formal MBSR meditation practices, with opportunity to check in with teacher.
