All of us encounter problems in living at some point in our lives.
Sometimes, those problems interfere with our ability to function at home, work, or school or in other important areas of life.
They can have a negative effect on our relationships with others and even on how we view ourselves.
If this is happening to you or someone in your family, counseling can help you regain your footing and set you back on your path.
ADHD and HYPERACTIVITY - This group is often misdiagnosed even through adulthood, often resulting in a lack of, or inappropriate treatment.
Children and adults who struggle with ADHD experience difficulties both at work and at school.
They find it very difficult to succeed, because their brains will not allow them to focus.
In fact, for many with these disorders the harder they try to concentrate the more their brains relax and become unfocused.
Adult ADHD may look different than a childhood or teenage ADHD, but still can cause significant difficulty.
Parenting a child with ADHD can be frustrating.
We work with parents and families in Virginia Beach to develop practical strategies that encourage success at home, at school, and with peers.
We've heard it said, if you've met one child with Autism, you've met one child with Autism.
Each child on the Spectrum has a unique set of talents, strengths, needs, and challenges.
We work with parents and children in Virginia Beach to address individual concerns and provide practical suggestions and training tailored to the needs of your child and your family.
We use a variety of techniques to assist family members in Virginia Beach with autism to function at their best, these include developmental play therapy, parent coaching, and neurofeedback.
Your mood is your internal emotional experience of your world and all things in it.
It affects the way you think, feel, and behave.
It impacts the way you interact with others, the way you think about things, and how you respond to problems.
Sometimes, mood disorders develop and severely impact the way you perceive life, relationships, and even your sense of who you are and your self-worth.
If this has happened to you, you may be finding that this disorder has the power to rob you of pleasure, purpose, determination, energy, sleep, self-control, focus, appetite or appetite control, alertness, productivity, and other things that are essential to your definition of what makes life satisfying.
