Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence based model with an over 70% proven success rate. Over 90% of couples report their relationship was "significantly improved." EFT has over twenty five years of research demonstrating proven effectiveness. I offer psychotherapy, counseling for couples, families, and individuals. I provide treatment for relationship problems, trauma, abuse, post-traumatic and other kinds of stress, anxiety, parenting, children's problematic behaviors, and low self-esteem.
For couples who are on the brink of divorce, I offer Discernment Counseling to help you develop clarity and confidence in making the decision that is right for you and your family. Working collaboratively with an emphasis on your strengths, you'll find me supportive of the areas you want to work on and the changes you or your family members may want to make.
To become a Certified EFT Therapist, candidates must meet various pre-requisites and complete several EFT training and supervision requirements including an intensive EFT Externship, advanced training courses, consultation / supervision by a Certified EFT Supervisor.

Services
I provide help by seeing the whole family in the room together and not assuming any one person is the cause of all the problems.
I work collaboratively with families, building upon each person's strengths to find solutions to problems you want to address.
Sometimes in the course of family therapy, it becomes apparent that couples therapy would help.

Therapy can Help.
When you first fell in love, it was wonderful.
You couldn't wait to see each other.
You knew this was the right relationship, even if there were some things to be worked out.
As time went on, perhaps with changes in the family, children, jobs, stresses of daily life, some of the spontaneity went out of the relationship.
Maybe you began to argue over parenting.
You may be arguing all the time.
One of you may be withdrawn or avoiding conflict.
Maybe one of you had an affair.
You may be arguing because of worries about the economy and how it has impacted your life.
