I work with individuals and couples who are not satisfied with where they are at this time in their life. All of us develop patterns of thinking and behaving; although some of these patterns are hindering our progress or communication with others. Perhaps you would like a safe place to hash it out: identify where you are now VERSES where you would like to be.

Here you will find the newest and most up to date new articles in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. Topics cover anxiety, psychotherapy, and depression.
Services
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and I specialize in couples counseling and trauma recovery.
My practice focuses on helping individuals and couples transform their relationships from Hurting- into Healthy!
We like to think that finding our special someone sets us up for eternal happiness.
Yet life and love are not always that easy.
For some couples, we slowly grow apart over time while building our careers, raising our families and managing to put out all of the fires that "pop up" in our daily lives; with no time left for ourselves.
Could you use an expert opinion on what you're going through, or a non-judgmental ear just to listen?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be the solution you've been seeking.
Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single therapist who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
If you've been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life.
Do you feel like the two of you have grown apart, or you feel like your relationship is more of parallel lives?
Lets examine the friendship, the vulnerability and the conflict styles.
There are tools that can help partners to rediscover one another, become a priority again and learn to understand the emotion behind the distance.
Do you feel like you can't talk with your partner?
Do you have the same arguments, day-after -day and wonder if you even speak the same language?
Perhaps your disputes are escalating.
A study published in the Journal of Traumatic Stress revealed that post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is perhaps more common than you think.
Just over eight percent of people in our community will experience PTSD in their lifetimes, 4.7% within the past year, and 3.8% in the past six month period.
When we include those who also suffer following significant trauma but don't fit typical PTSD criteria, the statistics become as worrying as they are staggering.
This means that millions of Americans continue to suffer from the devastating after effects of traumatic experience.
According to a study published in the Journal of Traumatic Stress, the prevalence of PTSD is 8.3%, 4.7%, and 3.8% of the population, over a lifetime, the past year, and the past six month period.
Add to this those who don't fit the PTSD criteria yet face health challenges after enduring adverse life events and the numbers are huge.
This means that millions of Americans just like you are suffering from serious, life altering signs and symptoms, and they need help to heal and recover.
And as overwhelming and complex as trauma can feel, recovery is possible.
