Life has many challenges. Have you found yourself feeling stuck, disappointed, moody, or distressed more days than not? Are you dissatisfied with your status quo, but not sure how or what to change? If you answered yes, counseling can be beneficial. Every individual has unique needs and circumstances. Each person's background, family system, belief system, personality, and goals differ.
And so must their path. Being intentional about what path you take means accounting for your unique make up, mending your emotional life, and striving for your better life. People tend toward the path of least resistance, and that means the status quo. Change is hard, particularly when one has been living the same way for some time. This is how counseling helps.
By exploring how your history effects your present and whether or not that is actually working for you, we can team up to make healthier choices, together.

Hi! I'm Corinne, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a graduate of the La Salle University Masters of the Arts in Professional Clinical Counseling.
I specialized in Addiction treatment.
I have been working in mental health for almost ten years, and have been doing Clinical Counseling for more than five.
I work with adults, in individual, couples, and group formats, on a wide array of concerns.
Addiction or substance abuse, trauma, depression, relationship problems, LGBTQ concerns, anxiety, women's issues, and grief are examples of the areas I have experience treating.

Couples: the relationship is the primary client.
How each individual's personal preferences, needs, concerns, goals, hopes, and dreams effect the relationship is our focus.
Recovery Group: your recovery is the main goal.
The group supports each other in seeking long term recovery.
Guidelines are in place that I, as the group facilitator, reinforce.
These guidelines create safety as each individual will need to be vulnerable with their peers in order to fully benefit from the group dynamic.
The more open each person is the more every person grows.

If you are in your residency and require or would like more supervision to grow professionally, call me today.
In supervision we will discuss your challenges and any personal biases you may be experiencing that interfere with your work.
Once we have established good rapport, we may utilize a group format for supervision that will accommodate your needed hours in a convenient 1-2x/month setting.
We can always work together individually, as well.
Clinical supervision sessions are $100/hour for individual sessions and $150 for a two hour group.

People talk a lot about motivation these days and habits are getting a bad rap.
Motivation is like the flashy trend that everyone gets behind briefly but is replaced by leg warmers the next week.
Habits are the steady, ever cool leather jacket that gets better with age and wear.
Do we need motivation?
Absolutely!
Will it save the day forever?
No, not even a little bit.
By now most everyone has heard Jim Ryun's quote, Motivation is what gets you started.
Habits are what keep you there.
I think it's important to break this down.
