Barbara Riste is a licensed profesional counselor, a nationally accredited counselor and a certified strategic life coach who has been in practice for almost twenty-five years. She has extensive experience and concentrates on helping individuals and families create and sustain healthier ways of being and interacting.

By using an diverse approach that is customized to the specific needs of the person, couple or family; she embraces the mind-body connection and works with techniques that help integrate and reinforce talk therapy.People go to therapists for a variety of reasons. Sometimes there is an acute issue and we need guidance from an objective third party to gain clarity; sometimes we feel depressed, anxious, stressed and overwhelmed by life or sometimes we have a crisis in our relationship.

Family therapy can include all the family members dependent on the children's ages or just the parents.
Family therapy can address challenges people have with in-laws, their own families of origin, struggles with adult children or blended family issues.
I have observed that many people who make the courageous decision to come to a counselor feel that their old strategies are not working for them anymore.
