In accordance with the current CDC/Gov. DeWine's directives, Evergreen Counseling Associates will remain open via tele-conferencing. Evergreen will continue to offer Alcohol & Drug Assessments, Education classes and Individual Counseling sessions to our clients through tele-conferencing at this time. What kind of technology or special equipment do clients need?
Two things are needed: (1) a device to tele-conference. Examples are a smart phone, tablet/iPad or a laptop or desktop-enabled webcam, and (2) a credit/debit card to pay for services over the phone. Evergreen Counseling Associates provides education and counseling in the Dayton area for those experiencing consequences of alcohol or drug use or abuse.
Most common counsequences would be OVI, Disorderly Conduct, marijuana possession and comparable offenses, as well as positive drug tests at work or school. We also serve clients who are self-referred and family-referred. We have been involved in the addiction field for over 30 years and at our current location for over 16 years.

Assessment includes a face to face interview and screening using instruments such as the DAST, SASSI and the AUDIT.
Assessments and referrals from other therapists, physicians or programs are sufficient for entry into counseling or education at Evergreen.
Drug and alcohol education, conducted in a group setting, is designed to help people determine to what degree substance use has affected their lives.
We explain the differences between substance use, abuse and addiction, how to determine whether one has a problem or not, and what to do about the problem if there is one.
