If you are in need of a prescription or medications of any kind, you'll need to get in contact with a psychiatrist.

In many cases, battering is not the result of mental illness or due to the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Rather it is a learned behavior that is often motivated by the unconscious or conscious desire of an individual to have control.
