I am extremely passionate about counseling and helping individuals and families to achieve their recovery goals. If you have contemplated seeing a therapist because you feel stuck in life, are struggling with the ability to regulate your emotions, or having trouble "getting past your past", now is the time to take some action and make profound changes in your life.

Individual counseling and psychotherapy provides a safe space for people to work through and overcome various psychological problems such as addictions, anxiety, depression, avoidance, relationship issues, trauma, low self-esteem. I specialize in working with parents and other family members dealing with a loved one who is struggling with an addiction and/or other behavioral or emotional problem and who is failing to engage in life successfully.

Individual psychotherapy provides a safe space for people to work through and overcome psychological problems such as addictions, anxiety, depression, avoidance, relationship issues, trauma, low self-esteem, etc.
It is important to choose a therapist who is qualified to help you meet your goals and also maintains high ethical standards.
I specialize in working with parents and other family members dealing with a loved one who is struggling with an addiction and/or other behavioral or emotional problem and who is failing to engage in life successfully.
Individual counseling and psychotherapy provides a safe space for clients to be vulnerable and express their thoughts and feelings in a healthy, therapeutic way.
It involves a collaborative relationship where the client feels validated and supported and the therapist uses his skills to facilitate the healing and discovery process.
Individuals choose to see a therapist for a variety of reasons and the focus of your therapy sessions and treatment planning will be determined by your individual needs and goals.
Most of work I do with families (often parents) involves dealing with a loved one who has an addiction or some type of co-occurring behavioral or emotional problem.
Addiction impacts the entire family system in profound, destructive ways and it's important to seek support and guidance to deal with the fallout and respond in healthy, practical ways.
Often, families inadvertently contribute to the "enabling" process and need coaching and education to learn new ways of dealing with the problem.
This process often feels counterintuitive and as if going against all natural instincts, however is critical to combating the addictive process.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) is a powerful psychotherapy developed to treat trauma as well as other psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, addictions and eating disorders, avoidance, panic attacks, phobias, performance problems, among others.
It has been practiced around the world for the past 30 years or so and is an accepted treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder by the American Psychiatric Association, Veterans Administration, Department of Defense, World Health Organization, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
I conduct formal substance abuse evaluations for individuals and families seeking information about their situation, substance abuse and mental health dynamics, as well as providing recommendations for treatment.
This would be helpful for anyone struggling with their consumption of chemicals and unsure of its degree of severity or progression.
Formal written reports can be provided for those who may require them for court or other legal concerns.
Your information is completely confidential and the assessment process warm, casual, and friendly.
