My name is Dr. Meri Rule. I have been in the Mental Health field since 2010. Some of those years, I worked with addictions, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief and trauma, PTSD, OCD, relationships and other life challenges. My clients range in age between 8 and 80. I use techniques unique to each client's needs, including; CBT, Solutions Focused, Positive and narrative therapies, psychodynamic, family systems, humor, and Art and Music therapies.
Working together to find the most effective treatment strategies, is essential in helping you reach your therapeutic goals. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Sociology, from University of Texas at Arlington. I hold several licenses, including; NCC, LPC-S, LCDC, and Auricular Acupuncture Specialist. Auricular Acupuncture is useful in treating chemical withdrawals, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and could also be used for pain management.
My approach is caring, empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental.
