Services
Originally from New Jersey, I enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, basketball, soccer, playing scrabble, and going on adventures with my beautiful wife and two amazing sons.
My life's purpose is to bring healing and freedom to others.
I am grateful for the training I received at Denver Seminary, where I received a Masters degree in Community Counseling.
I have worked in the counseling field for the past 10 years.
My training is in a broad range of areas, but some of my specialties are: anxiety, depression, trauma, couples work, and addictions (sexual, drug and alcohol).
People seek counseling for many different reasons: a crisis, a loss, a major life change, to sort things out to have a happier life, or to improve relationships.
Counseling begins with an initial meeting with the therapist to gather information and history in order to develop a plan to meet each individual's/family's needs.
Counseling may include individual, group, and/or family sessions.
Each session lasts typically 45 to 50 minutes.
Your therapist will establish with you a regular schedule based on your specific need.
What is family counseling?
It is a type of counseling that includes the entire family because problems affecting individual family members usually impact the family as a whole.
Often families just need support as children grow and change, but sometimes they must deal with such issues as academic or discipline problems, divorce, substance abuse, sadness, anger, or racial discrimination.
We recognize that families come in all forms, and no two families look alike.
Some may have two parents, others only one; many grandparents and extended family members are raising other family members' children.
Many couples that do not divorce wind up staying together, but remain unhappy and unfulfilled for years.
The damaging effects of destructive marital conflict and divorce on spouses and children include economic problems, medical problems, spiritual and mental health problems.
Can couples learn how to avoid the pitfalls, and learn to deepen and maintain love for a lifetime?
Yes, if they work at it!
The purpose of marital counseling at our Grand Junction Counseling Centers is to teach couples skills for a great marriage.
Most couples spend more time and money planning their weddings than preparing for their marriages.
And, most marriages end in divorce!
Doesn't it make sense to Prepare yourselves as best you can for the most important human relationship you will ever have?
Premarital Counseling is highly recommended for couples planning to marry.
Premarital education and marriage skills training are necessary for marital stability.
It is beyond any doubt that the happily married couples live longer and are emotionally stable.
