In the interest of safety for clients, staff, and community, we have transitioned to a fully online Video Therapy practice for the time being. Social distancing places distinct stresses on individuals, couples and families - and we are here to provide the support and help you need during this time. Our video therapy sessions are going really well!

Our therapists are finding that they are having great sessions, clients are giving us feedback that it is going well-even with children as young as 3, and they appreciate that they can receive therapy safely in this difficult situation. Sometimes things just aren't going smoothly at home. It seems like you try everything to feel better, make positive change, and it's one step forward and two steps back.

It can feel like you're alone in this. Our licensed counselors want to help you. We want to help you-we know it's possible to be happy-whether with your children, yourself, or in your relationships. At Counseling of Alexandria, we can give you the best counseling services for child counseling, play therapy, filial therapy, teen counseling, couples counseling, sex therapy, and individual counseling.
Services
Must be a professionally licensed therapist in Virginia (if you are an out of state applicant, license eligible).
We are currently accepting applications for our Alexandria office and 100% Telehealth-Based Positions.
Would you enjoy working with a team of collaborative, fun, and skilled practitioners like yourself?
Would you like the perks of being in a private practice (freedom and flexibility) without all the hassles (answering phones, billing challenges, finding new clients)?
Want to have the best of both worlds, living in a small town neighborhood with access to city life at your fingertips?
When you arrive, please have a seat in our waiting room and help yourself to some water, tea, or coffee.
At your appointment time, your therapist will greet you and invite you into our confidential office.
Your therapist will invite you to share your story and will help you articulate why you are seeking help at this time.
Our only goal is to help you be happier.
That is it.
So we will find out from you what is not working and help you make it better.
If all goes well, you and your therapist will then decide how often you will meet and what issues you will work on together.
There are two metro lines convenient to our office.
Take the blue or yellow line to the Braddock Road Station.
Take a right out of the metro onto Braddock Road and then another right onto Mount Vernon Avenue.
Our office is about a 15 minute walk from the Braddock Road Metro.
You can also take either Metrobus 10A/10B toward Pentagon/Ballston getting off at Mount Vernon and Windsor Avenue or Dash AT3 Northbound to Windsor Avenue.
Buses typically run every 15 minutes.
