Services
I'm an experienced, licensed psychologist who has been helping people get "unstuck" from unhelpful behavior patterns for over 20 years.
Whether you're facing a temporary, difficult life situation or struggling with more long-standing problems like depression or anxiety, I can help.
My style is direct and active - I don't simply nod my head while you talk.
I'll listen closely, we'll work together on the problem and I'll offer you supportive, non-judgmental and practical feedback that will help you to navigate through the issue as quickly and effectively as possible.

Recognizing anxiety or depression isn't always easy.
These self-assessments can help to see whether you're experiencing any signs or symptoms of depression.
These self-tests can't give you a diagnosis of depression or anxiety but they can help you to determine whether speaking with a qualified, licensed mental health professional for further evaluation of your mood would be helpful.
For each self-assessment question, think about your mood over the last two weeks.
Assign yourself a 0 for each "Not at all" response, a 1 for each "Several days" response, a 2 for each "More than half the days" response and a 3 for each "Nearly every day" response.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT for short, is a research-based form of psychotherapy.
Because there is so much evidence demonstrating its effectiveness, it is "the gold standard" for the treatment of anxiety and depression.
The research shows that in many cases, a 12 to 16-week course of CBT is just as, or more effective, than medication alone.
CBT is a "here and now" type of therapy.
In other words, your CBT therapist will not spend a lot of time focusing on the past or looking for the root cause of your symptoms but will instead focus on the present day and on teaching you the techniques and tools that will get you feeling better as quickly as possible.
