Are you going through a tough time in your life? Or, do you feel like your life is pretty good, but suspect talking with a neutral, professional helper could be exactly the boost you need to generate positive momentum toward attaining your life dreams? Life Transitions Counseling is a place of hope and help. We understand how challenging life and relationships can be.
We have accumulated, and grown from both clinical training and personal life experiences. These professional and personal lessons contribute to our understanding and empathy, and we are passionate about helping others. We understand many people are reluctant to try counseling or to take the first step to contact someone about help. Going to counseling is an acknowledgment that you want things to change.
You want your life to be better! It is a sign of strength that you are considering counseling, and we encourage you to take that next step. Research suggests the biggest predictor of positive client outcomes is the relationship between the client and the counselor.

I have been a professional counselor for 25 years.
During that time, I've worked with children, adults, couples and families to help them find the best life has to offer.
Both my Masters and Doctorate degrees were earned at Saint Louis University.
Helping people make sense of life and find some joy is my passion.
Along with helping people, I have also spent time helping to improve the field of professional counseling by serving as President of both the American Counseling Association of Missouri and the Missouri Mental Health Counselor Association and Secretary of MoLPC, (Missouri Association of Licensed Professional Counselors).

Are you feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or sad?
I understand how tough that can be.
After a 23-year sales and marketing career, I made a major mid-life change because my career was no longer life-fulfilling.
Becoming a new dad at mid-life (after my wife and I adopted our son) caused me to do a lot of thinking about my life and what I had accomplished, and more importantly what I had not accomplished.
After considerable introspection, I finally decided what I really felt called to do was help people with their most significant life challenges.
