Psychotherapy is a joint effort between us. Together we will discuss a variety of issues, events, experiences and memories that are a part of your life. I believe that this exploration can help you better understand yourself as well as any problems or difficulties you may be experiencing.

Participating in therapy may result in a number of benefits including reduced stress and anxiety, a decrease in negative thoughts and self-sabotaging behaviors, improved interpersonal relationships, increased comfort in social, work, and family settings, increased capacity for intimacy, and increased self-confidence.These benefits involve effort on your part.

Your willingness to be active in the therapeutic process, to be open and honest, and your willingness to change feelings, thoughts and behaviors will help to make therapy successful for you. While there is no guarantee that therapy will result in any or all of the benefits listed above, I am confident that our work together can help you. It is true that participating in therapy may also involve some discomfort, including remembering and discussing unpleasant events, feelings and experiences.

A limited number of reduced fee services are available.

Clients can expect that discussions will be kept confidential and will not be released to any third party without written authorization from Patient, except where required or permitted by law.
Exceptions to confidentiality, include, but are not limited to, reporting child, elder and dependent adult abuse, when a patient makes a serious threat of violence towards a reasonably identifiable victim, or when a patient is dangerous to him/herself or the person or property of another.
Patient should be aware that he/she might be waiving the psychotherapist-patient privilege if he/she makes his/her mental or emotional state an issue in a legal proceeding.
Gratitude - The importance of gratitude goes beyond a picture-perfect Thanksgiving tableau.
Many experts believe that feeling grateful is also beneficial to your health.
Studies show that practicing gratitude can be used to help lower blood pressure, stop smoking and reduce stress.
1. Gratitude empowers you.
If we're so depressed about what's going on in the world that we can't act, what does that serve?
