If you're reading this, you're probably experiencing some kind of pain. And there are so many sources of emotional pain: the struggles of being in a couple relationship, difficulties as a parent, grieving a major loss (death, divorce, job), major health problems, feeling overwhelmed by all the pressures in your life, to name just a few. Let me give you an idea of how I can be of help.

People often come to therapy blaming each other or themselves for their problems. I work to help you identify and stand up to the real problems in your lives. If you're experiencing problems in your relationship, I'll help you and your partner become allies instead of seeing each other as the enemy. This allows you to join together to understand and change the problems undermining your connection, such as toxic communication patterns and over-reactions when old pain is triggered.

If you're dealing with individual problems, such as depression, anxiety or loss, I'll help you inquire into and challenge negative self-blaming beliefs and stories that keep you on your case instead of on your side.
Services
I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology in 1992 from JFK University and have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1995.
For the past twenty years I've been helping people with a wide range of issues, such as relationship problems of all kinds, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, life transitions, spirituality, parenting, self esteem, and chronic physical pain.
My clients tell me they feel deeply listened to and accepted, while at the same time being encouraged and supported to change what isn't working for them.
Eighteen years ago I cured my own chronic back, neck, shoulder and hip pain using Dr. John Sarno's mindbody approach.
Since then I've helped many of my clients avoid unnecessary surgeries and treatments and overcome a broad range of chronic pain conditions.
If you are reading this, you are probably in pain right how.
Your pain may be in your back, legs, head, feet, neck, stomach-it could be anywhere.
Maybe diagnostic tests have not been able to find anything wrong.
Or maybe you've had MRI's that reveal abnormalities that are in fact not actually causing your symptoms.
