Simply by considering enlisting professional help, you have already taken a significant positive step. Self-awareness of a need for change, coupled with initiative and courage, opens the door to healing and growth. As a psychologist, I aim to help people live wholly and with a clear sense of purpose, to live authentically, to accept and work through the full range of feelings that are inherently part of life, and to improve and deepen their relationships with others.

I frequently help people work through anxiety, OCD (using ERP - Exposure and Response Prevention), depression, grief, and addiction. I also help people clarify their personal and professional identities, and discern their personal values and beliefs. I offer a variety of services including individual and group psychotherapy, as well as psychological assessment to address concerns related to emotional health, cognitive functioning, ADHD, and learning.

I also offer psychotherapy and coaching services designed to support executives, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as they face the unique stresses and demands of their careers.
Services
I have been in practice since 2002 (and in Greenville, South Carolina since 2005), providing psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and coaching services.
I am often moved by my patients' courage, motivation, and resourcefulness as they work through challenges and pursue their goals for personal growth.
I feel fortunate to work with people who are highly committed to healing and learning, and who strive to find and create deep meaning and fulfillment in their lives.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Carleton College, with a psychology major and a specialization in French.
I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services including therapy for anxiety and depression, to group therapy, grief counseling, parenting support, coping with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, couples counseling and discernment/acceptance of sexual orientation and gender identity.
In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a personalized approach tailored to each of my patient's needs to help them attain the growth they're striving for.
Group therapy is a powerful, cost-effective, and unique form of psychotherapy that is often extremely helpful for many people, across diagnostic categories.
Most of my group members participate in concurrent individual therapy when they do group, as this provides the best treatment outcomes.
I offer group therapy to my own individual therapy patients or to individual patients referred to me by other clinicians.
People participating in group are usually quite familiar with the format of psychotherapy and have always had the group guidelines thoroughly explained to them before deciding to join group.
Psychological testing (assessment) is a broad set of procedures that psychologists are uniquely qualified to offer.
Testing can help with diagnostic clarification and discernment in the following areas:.
Beyond the use of psychological testing as a diagnostic tool, perhaps the most powerful use of these procedures is to increase self-understanding, sense of agency, and to help other people in one's life i.e.
My approach to assessment is collaborative and my clients have an integral role in developing the questions to be addressed during the testing process.
