Join us for a two-hour virtual town hall on promoting healthy masculinities and reducing domestic violence. Featuring a keynote presentation by Rickie Houston, Director of Training at A Call to Men, followed by interactive breakout room discussions. Center for Community Counseling was recently interviewed about mental health issues facing our community during this unprecedented period of physical isolation and quarantine by Mark Molina of Molina Leadership & Business Development Solutions.
Watch the video series as we talk with Board Member Patricia Hasback, PhD, Clinical Program Manager Nasim Talebreza-May, MSW, and Board Member Jon Davies, PhD. The Center for Community Counseling has been helping our community be healthier and stronger one person at a time for over 41 years! We all benefit from support during difficult times, and finances shouldn't be an obstacle to receiving good counseling.
Every day, we offer counseling services for those who would not otherwise be able to afford the help they need and deserve.

As a lay reader at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Moursund was expected to have a "mission, " or project to help the community.
Moursund completed her doctorate in school psychology, so it seemed natural that she volunteer to spend one afternoon a week offering counseling for free.
From this simple idea, came Aslan Counseling Center.
Six months later, Moursund and another counselor were providing 8 hours of counseling a week.
At the suggestion of the church, Moursund and fellow counselor moved their operation into an old farmhouse located on the church property.

Debbie comes to the Center for Community Counseling with over 30 years' experience working in nonprofits with a focus on serving vulnerable populations.
Debbie started with the Armed Services YMCA in Boston working with both military personnel and community members.
Over the years she worked at several different YMCA's across the country including Atlanta, Seattle and New Hampshire.
Raising her daughter, Amanda, in the Y meant that Amanda was in preschool, afterschool, camp, gymnastics and swimming (she was one of the "Y rats" a name given to staff kids!)
