Alison is a mental health therapist in Bismarck with specialized training in trauma. She has worked 13 years as a mental health crisis social worker and trainer across North Dakota state and Tribal lands. She co-founded ND's statewide Suicide Prevention coalition and in 2019, was named 40 under 40 by the de Beaumont Foundation for her work in suicide and violence prevention and recovery support.
As a specialist serving families with youth with emotional disturbances, Alison provided group, marriage and family counseling, coming to believe that strong family and intimate partner relationships are key components to overall mental wellness. Alison also serves the NASW-ND Chapter through which her platform is to embed evidence-based suicide prevention across education.
Alison's passion is responding to complex trauma and coping skill development across the lifespan. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR and DBT skills. Alison is excited to connect North Dakotans to quality person-centered behavioral health services offered through Summit Counseling's three offices and telehealth!

The board continues to assist the agency in reviewing policy and procedures.
They serve in a function to help maintain continuity and safety of the agency, those the agency serves, and its employees.
The board meets on a quarterly basis and as needed.
George is one of the founders of Summit Counseling.
He is also a board member.
He is affectionately called "The Business Guy."
He steps in wherever needed and is instrumental in all that we do.
