We base our counseling in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and treat anxiety, depression, anger management, PTSD, trauma therapy, domestic violence, and substance use disorders.
We also accept court-mandated clients.
Nueva Vida accepts referrals from the Las Vegas Children, Youth, and Family Department (CYFD), and the Las Vegas Juvenile Probation Office (JPO).
Our approach to working with children ranges from cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to child-centered play therapy, (CCPT), and counseling for young clients may take play in our designated play-therapy room.

A Northern New Mexico native, Carmen was born in Tierra Amarilla, NM, and earned both her Bachelor's of Psychology and Master's of Science/Counseling Psychology degrees from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. Carmen is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, has Matrix Model of Intensive Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Clinical Training, is a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) as well as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and is currently completing curriculum for LADAC licesure.
