I am trained in systems therapy, which is designed to address a whole person including all of your relationships with others. I find this to be imperative in individual therapy. Whether working individually, as a couple, or as a family unit, the goal is to improve relationships between us and those we love. I have 15 years of experience in helping individuals, couples, and families.
Throughout our lives we experience turbulent times. Often, we weather these storms on our own, but sometimes we need a guide to help us find our way safely to the other side. As an experienced Marriage and Family Therapist, and Independent Mental Health Practitioner, I can help you find your way.

I have specific training in couples and relationship counseling.
I utilize a systems approach, which is to say we look at the entire picture of a couple/person's life to determine how they got where they are and how to head in the direction they want to go.
I choose not to subscribe to one approach because I believe relationship counseling needs to fit the needs of the relationship and is not effective as a one-size-fits-all approach.
Some methods I utilize are Gottman, EFT, Solution Focused and Imago.

I believe that relationships are a major force in our lives, positive and negative.
That is why I pursued a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy that puts particular emphasis on relationship training.
Relationships are so rewarding, but can also be extremely hard work.
My role is to help you see more clearly the patterns that exist in your relationship that prevent you from being the best you can be together.
Do any of these statements sound familiar?
These common statements, and many more are what bring otherwise happy, loving people into counseling together.
