Our mission at Uganda Counseling and Support Services is to improve the quality of life, by giving people the tools they need to live self-sustainable, hopeful lives. We do this by spreading God's love to people in remote communities of Uganda by providing social services, counseling and spiritual development. There are currently over 800 students enrolled across our primary school, high school and vocational school.
These students are receiving clean water, school meals, medical care, and quality education. When UCSS first arrived in Bulike, one death per day was common due to malaria and water-born diseases. Access to clean water is a big problem in the communities we work in. To date we have drilled over 60 water wells so that families have access to clean, life-saving water.
The Nana Health Centre and our mobile clinics are helping the community through treatment and prevention of diseases. Our doctors and medical teams are able to see over 100 people a day which has led to healthier communities.

Services
At UCSS we are developing communities in Eastern Uganda by providing necessary social services, counseling and spiritual development - one community at a time.
UCSS is using a holistic approach that addresses clean water, medical care, education, economic training and development, and teaching life skills through counseling and spiritual development.
UCSS's chose to start its ministry in the region of Bulike because its 48,000 residents have nothing, no clean water, medical care, schools, electricity or sewage system.

Ronald and Ronah here, coming to you from Uganda!
It is our honor to invite you to our 2nd Annual Virtual Vision Banquet.
You will hear from people whose lives have been changed forever through the love of Christ.
The transformation they've experienced has only been because of our partners who loved, cared for and invested in them.
We hope you will be inspired as we take you on an adventure through this Decade of Development.
The future of these villages depends on YOU!
We have learned so much over the last decade and are confident that this model for development works!

Education is improving in Uganda.
Since 2011, Bulike Christian Community Primary School and Liberty Christian Community High School have been impacting communities by providing quality education and giving students opportunities to receive an education, develop positive personal habits, and learn about the love of God.
These schools are making a large impact on the communities in Bulike, Buluya, and the surrounding areas.
Students have access to clean water, they receive meals during school hours and are given routine preventative medical care through the Nana Health Center.

There is a need to acquire economic group equipment, reliable transportation, and furniture.
This year the UCSS farmers conducted several meetings in different locations.
These meetings helped achieve the following objectives: to improve the farm food production, promote farmers' cooperative spirit, identify partners to work with, improve the tree coverage on our farms, maintain the farms, and work with the community.
As a way of improving the living standard of the farming members and generating income for the community, we continued to plant bananas and plantains which are sources of food that helps to generate income.

Medical and health care services through UCSS provide routine, preventative, and diagnostic care for communities in rural Uganda.
We are seeing excellent results.
Our health teams regularly care for patients in the community that would not be able to access care any other way.
These teams are saving lives.
In the last six months, there have been 2,035 patients cared for at both Nana Health Center and the Nana Dispensary in Buluya.
Additional services such as testing and training have been added to increase the overall health of the community.
