Norcross Counseling + Wellness is a counseling organization devoted to helping others define what being well means for them and navigating the path towards this destination. Tracy Norcross is the owner and mind behind NC+W. She believes in the inherent resilience of folks despite the stuff that they feel stuck in. NC+W uses a variety of perspectives and techniques including psychodynamic, attachment, cognitive, behavioral, and sandtray.

From the structure of a session to how to pay, learn what to expect between the initial emails and closing the first few sessions. The Polyvagal Theory identifies the different states are bodies deem necessary as a result of the danger (or lack of) that our nervous systems sense. The blog starts into the very basics of Polyvagal Theory. One of the groups of people hardest hit during the current pandemic are new moms.

It's harder than ever to fulfill connection and it's understandable that new moms may be experiencing negative mental health symptoms more than ever.
Services
During these uncertain times (and as always because it's convenient!)
I do offer video sessions or phone sessions.
You get to find a cozy spot in a safe space and I will send you a link for the video session.
Then you enter the "room" on your computer when you are ready, but otherwise everything else is the same as in-office visits.
First, you'll complete the initial paperwork.
This not only allows you to organize what is important for you in counseling, but it also gives me a much better understanding of who you are.
Hi there, I'm Tracy.
I am a Professional Counselor in Grand Rapids, MI.
Most of my life has been spent in Michigan, but you will probably hear some "Wisconsin-twang" come out in my voice from time to time.
Spending time with my dog Murphy and relaxing outside are some of my favorite things to do.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gender & Health from the University of Michigan.
After spending a quite a few years volunteering with MomsBloom and Sisters in Support in Grand Rapids, I realized that I wanted to be able to help new mothers in a more meaningful way.
