We are a counseling center and we are here to help. Our group is born from the desire to provide better care, more effectively, to the children and families of our community. Our center is focused on individual and family therapy. We are a team of therapists, social workers, and mental health counselors, providing counseling services for individuals and families.
We can provide listening and tools to improve overall functioning within the individual or family system. Root 2 Rise Counseling Center is a space to come to rest and to work. Rest for enough time to reset. Reset what is no longer working for you or your family. Your work will be supported by professionals to facilitate the change process, giving you opportunities to learn how to do it better.
A comfortable waiting room, privacy, a therapist, someone to witness and encourage your process. After some minor paperwork, a chance to set some intentions or goals for your work in therapy. All that is needed is yourself and proof of insurance.

After 15 years working in various agencies and programs in Hilo, Kim our founder, decided to set up a counseling center to do only that.

Get your HMSA provider ID - The time frame to be issued a HMSA Provider ID number is usually 90-120 days, but they know the R2R team, and often we can get this done much faster.
We know you have been patient, so to help in the meantime, once provisionally approved we can have you start seeing clients and pay you for it.
R2R will pay $50 per session until you're in the system officially and will pay the difference later.
It takes 90-120 days to get into the HMSA system and then some more time to go through the regular claim submission process.
