As a therapist, my goal is to help clients achieve sustained and lasting improvement. I have studied human behavior my entire life and found different techniques very useful. However, neurofeedback (NFB) was such a life-changer for me that I learned to do it myself. I suffered from migraine headaches for more than 20 years and NFB eliminated them from my life.
Other therapies helped but nothing impacted my life like NFB. I believe the most powerful transformation comes from a combination of behaviorally-based counseling, for example, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and techniques that help reset non-adaptive patterns, including NFB, other forms of biofeedback (BFB), such as heart rate variability BFB, emotional freedom technique (EFT), and a personality assessment I use called the Enneagram.
These techniques provide the foundation for holistically examining issues that stand in the way of a fuller life. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your goals.

Services
Neurofeedback (NFB), also called EEG biofeedback, is based on electrical currents in the brain.
The goal is to regulate and thereby, optimize brain function.
For example, if the brain is under-functioning in an area, such as we see with depression or low mood, NFB increases faster brain waves and decreases slower brain waves in that area of the brain.
The result is improved mood, as well as overall functioning.
Electrodes are placed on the head; the number and location depend on the issue being treated.

Will it work?
Does it always work?
You may wonder whether neurofeedback (NFB) will really work.
Overwhelmingly, research supports that neurofeedback works with a wide range of issues.
Studies have included people with many different types of problems, from ADD/ADHD to cognitive performance to epilepsy to addiction.
The evidence supports that neurofeedback leads to long-lasting improvements.
However, neurofeedback may not work for everyone.
For example, neurofeedback requires active participation.
