Thank you for stopping by my website! I am a clinical psychologist in Guilford, CT, easily accessible from Madison, Branford, New Haven, and many other communities along the shoreline. My clients are men and women who begin therapy describing the sense that something feels wrong. They are often frustrated that they don't know what is going on or how to feel better.

Many of my clients have experienced a specific trauma e.g. I also work with women who are contemplating whether or not they wish to become mothers, and women in all stages of the perinatal and postpartum period. Motherhood is an intense time of transition, and personalized support through the experience can help. Sometimes women develop anxiety and mood disorders during pregnancy or the postpartum period.

If this is happening to you or someone you know, please encourage them to visit a therapist to be assessed and potentially treated. Perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders are real, they can be very scary, and they are absolutely treatable.
Services
My clinical psychology office is located in the center of Guilford, where Church Street approaches northbound I-95.
My office is on the first floor.
There is a private waiting room and a separate entrance and exit to and from the office, which insures confidentiality.
I am not an in-network provider on any managed care panels, but I do accept HSA/FSA cards and out-of-network benefits.
Many of my clients use their out-of-network benefits from their health insurance providers (Aetna, BCBS, United Healthcare, Medicare, etc.) to reimburse for some or all of my services.
I focus on adults with a range of stresses, life transitions, and clinical diagnoses such as somatization, mood, anxiety, and personality disorders.
Dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness based approaches to symptoms of borderline personality disorder, trauma, and other psychological concerns.
My clinical approach is integrative.
I have extensive experience and training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches to treatment.
Often when working with relationship patterns and trauma, a deeper exploration of an individual's clinical history and attachments can prove very meaningful.
My husband/wife says that something bad that happened to me is impacting our relationship, but I think I am over it.
Can an assessment help resolve this?.
Are there things about me that I am not realizing that are impacting my ability to be more patient with my kids?.
Collaborative therapeutic assessment is an approach to psychological assessment designed by Stephen Finn and colleagues at the Center for Therapeutic Assessment in Austin, TX.
This model of assessment, developed by leading clinicians and researchers in the field of assessment, differs from a traditional assessment model in that it is far more collaborative.
