In addition to traditional therapies, I utilize art therapy as an alternative form of communication; it can be a way to talk without talking.
No experience or training in art is necessary to benefit from art therapy, only the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process.
My psychotherapy work is holistic, informed by neuroscience and mental health nutrition, and incorporates alternative therapies for mental health and wellness.
I have an eclectic counseling style, drawing from a variety of treatment modalities including Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Art Therapy (CBAT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Art Therapy (MBAT), Art Therapy Relational Neurobiology (ATR-N), Neuroscience-informed psychotherapy, Crisis Intervention, Expressive Therapies (music/drama/poetry/dance/movement therapies), the Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI), Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Client Centered, Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused Therapies.

No experience or training in art is necessary to benefit - you only need the willingness to express yourself.
The focus is on the therapeutic process of art making and reflection, and not on the final art product (like it would be in an art education class).
Through this experience of visual self-expression, people are able to explore and develop their identity, gain self-awareness, have a healthy outlet for emotions, and cope better with life's stresses.
