For over twenty years Ian Kaminsky, Ph. D. has been working in with individual and group counseling, drug and alcohol counseling, education, prevention, teen and adolescent programs, and educational services.

He has worked in the field of human services since 1990 and has worked as a counselor and supervisor in a multitude of settings including Cottage Hospital's Psychiatric Services and UC Santa Barbara's Alcohol & Drug Program.
As Director of UCSB's Alcohol & Drug Program from 2001 to 2010, Ian Kaminsky researched, developed, and implemented 3 alcohol and drug intervention programs for young adults unlike any other programs in the country.
