We live in a world where avoiding stress is unavoidable! The way stress presents itself into our lives comes in many ways: job, family, financial, health, and spiritual, to name a few. Some of these factors we have control over and some we don't. However presented, stress can be that thing that completely disrupts our sense of normalcy and security and requires an adjustment on our part to get back on track.

If this describes your life, then you are in the right place. Renewal Life Counseling services are focused on helping to identify and work toward implementing the coping skills needed to manage life's stressors. The clinician will help you rediscover coping skills that you already embody and teach new skills to aid in moving past the stress that you currently experience.
Services
Tamara is an experienced Clinical Social Worker, licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and New Jersey, and Florida with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry.
The private practice operates on the premise that stress surrounds us daily, and can be managed effectively with the appropriate interventions.
Tamara enjoys working with adults experiencing a life transition, grief/bereavement, and trauma.
Tamara utilizes the following therapeutic frameworks to aid in helping clients alleviate stress in their lives: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
The truth is, we are our experts; we have more information about ourselves than anyone else.
An expert will tell you that to stay up-to-date and relevant; one must invest time in research.
One must read books, look at recent statistics, talk to other experts and researchers in the field.
This research happens for the sake of gaining the most knowledge about your subject.
Our landscape can change, and we have to do the work to examine those changes to learn more about ourselves and encourage growth.
Therapy services can vary based on the training, experience, and preferred demographic or issues that a clinician chooses to focus on.
It is your responsibility to do the pre-work before the work you will complete in therapy.
Be a savvy consumer; check out the prospective therapist's profile with your insurance or EAP company, look up their website and Psychology Today profile, or do a Google search.
1 Private Pay-If you do not have mental/behavioral health coverage, you can pay out of pocket.
There are set rates for therapy that are billed to insurance, and in cases of a client, with no insurance, those same charges will apply to services received, and or expected to be paid at time of service.
The speakers will guide you on how to use your vision board throughout the year and encourage connection with the other participants to foster accountability.
Have Fun: Participants will get to enjoy food, fellowship, and fun throughout the evening.
Sponsors will be present to share a about their products and services, and give the participants a change to win some cool stuff.
Be Inspired: Charity Pickens, a psychotherapist in the Upstate, will share some words about women and self-care.
Charity has an experiential practice and is passionate about helping client's reach their highest potential.
