I offer caring, compassionate support and focused guidance to help people come into balance with their own inner wisdom and self-healing abilities and to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. I believe optimal wellness comes from feeling connected to our essential nature within and to the larger world around us. I specialize in modalities that help you to find your own centered, wise self and to identify the opportunity for growth that is present in any life challenge.
Whether you are in a period of difficult transition or wanting to deepen your connection to your creative process and build positive resources, I provide a safe environment where your wisdom and needs are put first. It is a hopeful time for trauma therapists and their clients alike as the body of research on effective treatments for those living with symptoms of PTSD and CPTSD continues to evolve and provide real solutions and successful recovery outcomes.
I have enjoyed increased time for continuing education study this summer and am particularly excited to continue to share Mindful Self-Compassion Therapy practices with you.

I specialize in mindfulness, self-compassion, embodied practices and somatic therapy modalities that connect the mind and body for effective and lasting results at reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and other challenging life transitions.
I believe optimal wellness comes from feeling connected to our essential, wise nature within and to the larger natural world around us.
Mindfulness practices connect our mental awareness to our senses in a kind, non-judgmental manner.
With practice, this loving, accepting and connected presence to ourselves allows greater access to the intuitive wisdom of our body/psyche.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a somatic therapy in which the hemispheres of the brain and body are stimulated using rapid eye movement or other bilateral stimulus.
The hypothesis is that when the eyes move this way, as they do in REM sleep, a cross-brain wave pattern is produced that allows a person to both access memories of a trauma and process the emotions surrounding it.
The negative experiences that hold us back from being effective in any area of our lives are like a knot of neural pathways that contain negative beliefs and distressing feelings.

I work with creative types including performers, artists, athletes, professionals and entrepreneurs to increase confidence, clear self-doubt and limiting beliefs, and enhance performance to new levels.
EMDR therapy and mindfulness practices are great additions to your current training techniques and can clear negative beliefs that keep you stuck from getting to the next level in relationships or in your work.
I also offer creativity support in person or by phone for building confidence and gaining momentum in your creative process.
