As a therapist and career counselor in Avondale Estates (Decatur), GA, with an additional office location in Duluth, GA, I work with clients in the Metro Atlanta area, but also throughout all of Georgia using HIPAA-compliant, secure online sessions. I have more than 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I see my work as supporting clients to find fulfillment in their personal life and career.

As a therapist, I help clients to manage anxiety and depression; I help them understand and get through life transitions, difficult relationship issues, grief/loss; I help them to develop coping skills and to improve their overall health. As a career counselor, I work with clients who may be facing career transitions, new positions, workplace dissatisfaction, or need help finding their passions and direction.

They desire to deepen the understanding of themselves and their unique talents. As a career changer myself, many years ago, I understand what it is like to feel unhappy and dissatisfied.

Therapy is like a lantern that lights your path.
You can better see the bump in the road and navigate more clearly around it.
The bump may still forever be there, but you are better prepared and you will likely remember it is there when you pass by again.
In the beginning of therapy, I may be holding the lantern as we talk, but by the end, I hope you will carry the lantern as you continue your journey, and you will have your own matches, oil, and a new wick to keep that lantern lit.
Individual counseling/therapy can provide you with the opportunity to explore emotions, work through hard choices and find ways to be your most authentic self.
I get asked often, "Which types of clients do you see the most?"
With the Career Counseling side of my business, I like the variety of clients I see, from high school students up through those considering retirement.
But by far, the Career Counseling client I see the most (because there are simply so many people in this situation) is someone who has been working for a while but is unhappy with their current work situation, for a number of possible reasons.
DISSATISFIED with your current career, experiencing burn-out, or feeling boredom, or lack of challenge.
The high school and young adult years are a time of great changes and a time for planning for the future.
As students get ready to graduate high school, they often have many questions such as - "what should I major in?", "which school is best for me?"
And while most students go on to college, some may be considering options besides college.
For high schoolers and young adults, career assessment and counseling is a great way to develop a clear pathway to lead them beyond their school years.
When you consider the time and financial investments of college, career assessment and counseling is a wise way to build a strong foundation for the rest of your life.
Before we have our first session, I would encourage you to call or email me to schedule a free consultation by phone, usually 15 minutes.
This gives you a chance to discuss your situation and ask any questions to help you see how working together may be helpful.
It also gives me a chance to explain our process of working together and for me to make sure that my services are in line with your expectations.
After that, we can schedule your first session for either an in-person or online session.
Online sessions offer the most flexibility for scheduling.
Client sessions are available both in-person and online through a HIPAA-compliant online video platform, which offers the most convenient scheduling options.
Call or email to set up your free phone consultation.
As I am licensed in Georgia, all clients must be residents of Georgia.
My main office is located within the Blue House Wellness therapists co-working office space in Avondale Estates, GA.
It is around the back of the restaurant, Arepa Mia.
There is free parking in any of the spots behind the Tudor Village.
