WayMakers is a faith based life enhancement and addiction recovery service program with the vision of transforming lives by the renewing of their mind, through inner strength, hope, love, equality and community responsibility. Our rural communities in Middle Tennessee have been fighting an extreme addiction problem for too many years. The aftermath of ignoring the growing epidemic or seeing jail as the only way to battle the problem has destroyed our community one family at a time.
It effects our communities financially and emotionally. It is time to break the cycle of addiction from the inside out. It is time to realize that the reason people turn to drugs and alcohol are the issues stemming from child/young adult trauma and not simply a bad choice. Poverty, abuse, and lack of opportunities all are seeds in creating an addict.
They are all problems our children and young people face especially in our rural communities. We have an opportunity to break the cycle, but it will take a huge effort from State and local government, community leaders and citizens.

Heather is a Certified Professional Recovery Coach through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches and certified through the Net Institute.
She specializes in addiction recovery coaching through a 12-step recovery program, one on one coaching sessions for those still in active addiction and is a certified Broken Princess-Trauma Instructor.
Wanda is a Certified Botvin Life Skills Coach, Certified Broken Princess-Trauma Instructor and A.J. Novick Group, Inc. Certified Parenting Instructor.
