Maybe you are here because you feel desperate. You need relief. You need hope. Maybe, as a Christian, you want to believe that God is at work in His people, and you want to be obedient but you are struggling to make sense of this life. I would like to encourage you, you are not alone. We all, at times, can benefit from walking with a special companion on this journey; someone who is not part of our everyday life, who has skills and experience to bring us insight and comfort.

Sometimes our families, friends and the folks at church don't feel like a safe place to turn. My desire is to provide a space for understanding, healing, and hope so that individuals can begin to experience who they are, who God is, and the beauty of their story.

It is normal to have questions and concerns about the counselor you are hoping to work with.
In fact it is important to ask questions.
Research shows that the feeling of "fit" or "connection" with a therapist can be one of the most important factors of therapy.
I hope I can help reduce some of those fears and answer some of your questions by sharing a bit about my education, skills and my personal journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the state of North Carolina.
I value professional excellence and accountability as defined by the State of North Carolina and the broader professional community of professional counselors (ACA, AACC).
I strive to apply the highest level of Biblical, theological, clinical, and scientific knowledge and training possible to the lives and situations I am asked to serve.
While I embrace my own struggles, I place a high value on personal, relational and spiritual growth.
I resist being defined or fatally limited by my failures and weaknesses; I strive for growth consistent with the Image in which we were uniquely created.
Q: How do I know if I would benefit from counseling or therapy?
A: If you are struggling with emotional difficulties which you may not be able to resolve on your own, or if you are struggling with relational or family difficulties which seem to be headed in a negative direction.
Difficulty carrying out daily activities such as work and school, with an accompanying decline in performance.
Escalation from small disagreements to explosive fights with your friends, family and/or spouse.
I can also help if you feel stuck in your emotional, spiritual, marital, or familial growth and need a "tune-up" or "jump start."
