While we are taking every precaution to do our part and keep our clients and neighbors safe, we will continue regularly scheduled appointments via online video (telehealth) sessions, which can be accessed by a single click or tap on your computer or phone. Your daughter is struggling with anxiety - relationships, school, work, or just enjoying life.

She worries a lot, disconnects from family, suddenly became quiet, or just seems "different.". She's the kid you never had to worry about, and now you're worried about her all the time. You just want to see your daughter be free and confident, feel good, and have a happy life. Online counseling can be provided to anyone living in the state of Tennessee.

Whether you live a long way from me, work an inconvenient schedule, or have a health issue that prohibits leaving the house, online counseling can be really convenient. This group for high school girls is designed to help your daughter feel confident, proud, and less anxious. She will start to see herself the way you see her - as valuable and loveable.
Services
Throughout my career, I've discovered that there are a couple of areas that I'm best at working in, and I continually strive to get even more skilled in working within those areas.
One of those areas is helping teen girls and young women to overcome the struggle with anxiety and live confidently and happily.
My other area of focus is helping teens and young adults figure out who they are, where they belong, and to really flourish in that place.
Teen and early adult years can be so tough.
It's even tougher when you don't believe in yourself or your worth, when you feel like you're always on the outside looking in, and especially when you don't have anyone to relate to (or feel like no one relates to you).
It's tough when your teen is in pain, and you're unable to fix it.
As a parent, you want your teen to feel confident.
You're willing to do what it takes to support them, but you aren't sure how.
Maybe you've scoured the internet for help, read parenting books, and asked your friends for advice on what to do.
The suggestions you got may have helped a little, but they didn't solve the problems.
Whether your teen is sharing things with you that upset you both, or turning away and leaving you wondering what's actually going on - you know something is different.
As a young adult, this point in life can be so intimidating.
You're constantly trying to decide to do with "the rest of your life?"
And, that's a really big question.
Whether you're 18 or 28, it can feel like you're having to plan for the rest of your life.
Now, what if you're struggling with anxiety on top of that?
Maybe, you're trying to decide if you're good enough?
Some days, you're not even sure you can "do life."
It's damn difficult to figure out life when you're just trying to make it through the day.
You're looking for an open-minded therapist.
In a perfect world, you'd find someone who has lived experience as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
At a minimum, you want someone who understands and truly cares about the unique struggles you face.
And let's face it, that can be pretty hard to find in our area of Tennessee.
Coming out can be a terrifying, nervewracking thing to do.
You may be getting mixed messages, maybe even scary ones, about what's okay for you to do, who it is "acceptable" to be, or who you can love.
Walk & Talk Therapy is exactly what it sounds like.
We walk and talk.
Think of it as a moving therapy session.
We go at your speed and stop or go when you want.
There are a couple of benefits to this type of therapy.
You may or may not have heard that physical activity can act as a natural type of antidepressant, an effective method to help with treatment of anxiety, depression, and some other issues.
There is plenty of research that supports this.
Being outdoors and getting Vitamin D also has some support for improving mood.
